How it works

Load and manage data »

Use the Excel Data Manager to compile and structure data and metadata and create XML files. This free Excel tool can be used by any organisation to create data XML files to load into Data Server.

Import data XML files and manage all content through the web-based Administration Console. This provides a powerful set of tools for data staging and live promotion, structuring data into Themes and defining Data Views comprising specific sets of Indicators required by your users.

Publish data »

Data Server provides three ways of publishing your data:

  1. Data Views module allowing users to search multiple Data Views, display data and metadata in InstantAtlas dynamic reports and tables, and download specific sets of indicators for use off-line. You would generally embed the Data Views within your own web site or intranet. You can re-brand the pages to your own corporate style and choose from two different methods of selecting indicators (data explorer tree or drop-down menus).
  2. Deliver ‘live’ data and metadata from the database to specific InstantAtlas dynamic reports. You define specific dynamic reports using the web-based administration tools and they are then populated dynamically with data 'streamed' directly from the central database.
  3. Create static data and metadata files to use with InstantAtlas stand-alone, dynamic reports. You define specific Data Views using the web-based administration tools, then generate indicator static data files to load into stand-alone, dynamic reports.

Add Modules »

Add additional modules to your Data Server solution to enhance functionality at the start of a project or build them up in stages over time where user requirements are likely to evolve. See Features for information on additional modules.
