Community Health Profiles for England - Association of Public Health Observatories (APHO), UK

Community Health Profiles for England"Health Profiles provide a snapshot of health for each local council in England using key health indicators, which enables comparison locally, regionally and over time. We leveraged the power of Instant Atlas Server to display this complex data in an intuitive visual interface which would be equally useable by analysts, public health professionals and the public alike. Geowise could not have been more professional or cooperative in helping us achieve our vision on time and on budget."

Gary Bates, Senior Applications Developer, South West Public Health Observatory

Child and Maternity Health Observatory (ChiMat) - Yorkshire & Humberside Public Health Observatory (YHPHO)

Child and Maternity Health Observatory (ChiMat)InstantAtlas Server provided the ChiMat team with an adaptable solution for managing and presenting quantitative data that was inexpensive and quick to implement. We were able to purchase the software and go live within three months. It was easy for our web designer to brand the InstantAtlas Server mini-site to match the ChiMat site. The highly interactive atlases delivered through the Data Views module are more engaging than static images. They allow users to explore our data and provide answers leaving our team to focus on more complex queries. The needs assessment modules we have produced through the Profile Reports module will make individuals within PCTs more productive by reducing the time it takes to produce needs assessments with local data.

Kate Canning, Head of ChiMat/Senior Health Intelligence Specialist, Child and Maternal Health Observatory (ChiMat)

KnowFife - Fife Council

KnowFife"InstantAtlas enables KnowFife Dataset users to explore multi-agency data sets online and locate for themselves the information they want, drill down into it and perform their own custom analyses. It is also good to know that everyone has the same access to the information. This self service, InstantAtlas-supported approach means far fewer ad-hoc data requests for each partner, is saving everybody time and resources and most importantly is making information on Fife so much more accessible to decision makers and our citizens."

Coryn Barclay, Policy Officer, Corporate Research Team, Policy and Organisational Development, Fife Council

Newham Information System (NIMS) - London Borough of Newham

Newham Information System (NIMS)This atlas was prepared for the Neighbourhood Information Management System (NIMS) Team of London Borough of Newham to present nationally ranked scores of multiple deprivation at small area level. The report uses our Performance Profile template which is ideal for presenting data of this kind - nationally consistent ranks of multiple domains related to deprivation. The bars of the bullet graph (top right) illustrate how varied the cross-domain profile of deprivation can be at a neighbourhood scale. The background grey bars indicate how areas rank nationally in terms of fifths (quintiles) with bars overlapping the darkest grey sections being classed in the 20% most deprived of all areas nationally.
